Can I take ibuprofen or Tylenol with trazodone?

Short answer: Acetaminophen (Tylenol) has no significant known interaction. Ibuprofen and other NSAIDs carry a modest additive bleeding-risk consideration, mainly relevant with regular use.

Editorially reviewed

Occasional acetaminophen use alongside trazodone is not considered a significant interaction concern. NSAIDs like ibuprofen carry a modest theoretical increase in bleeding risk when combined with serotonergic medications like trazodone, mainly relevant for regular, ongoing NSAID use rather than an occasional dose for a headache. See our NSAIDs interaction page.
