This policy explains what information Trazodone.net collects and how it is used. We designed the Medication Companion tools specifically so that using them without an account keeps your data entirely in your own browser (local storage) — it never reaches our servers unless you create an account and choose to sync.
Information we collect
- Basic site analytics: Coarse, non-identifying data such as which pages are visited and which tools are used, without personally identifying information, used to understand site usage and improve content.
- Account information (optional): If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password (never your plaintext password). Two-factor authentication secrets are stored encrypted.
- Medication Companion data (account mode only): If you create an account and use the sync feature, health-related entries you choose to save (medication lists, sleep logs, symptom notes, etc.) are encrypted at the application level before being stored in our database.
- Contact form submissions: Information you voluntarily submit through our contact form, used only to respond to your message.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information or health-related entries to third parties.
- We never require an account to use the core educational content or the guest (local-storage) mode of the Medication Companion tools.
- We never store your Medication Companion entries in plaintext in our database if you use account mode — they are encrypted at rest.
Your rights
If you have an account, you can export all of your data or permanently delete your account at any time from your account privacy settings. Deleting your account permanently removes access to associated entries.
